When we first came in this ventriloquist was giving this show. It was cute, so later in the day we went back and he had an old grandpa and he spied Rita, and said, Hey,
the lady with the glasses on top of your head, I like you, and flirted with her. He was just putting him back into his box, as I was snapping this picture, it didn't catch him in time. We had a good laugh over that.
Some of the quilts and handy work displayed.
This lady is showing us how to make yarn out of all kinds of things on her spinning wheel.
This display is carved out of butter.
This hall had all kinds of personal display for ribbons, the next picture is one of them.
In this area was this display, this boy earned alot of merit badges for his eagle scout award.. I took the picture because his name was Preston Larson, my maiden last name. It's a neat way to display your awards.
Rita and I shared this crusty, fruit topped with whipped cream.
After that sugary hummy desert we needed to drink a bottle of water.
We came across this booth that advertised 10 healing benefits of cleaning of the toxins out of your body. You put your feet into this water with an pad under your feet and an electrode on your wrist. He said that most people have400 to 800 chemicals stored in their bodies, many colors, odors and objects appear in the water during the cell cleanse. Yellow, green, or black, if they smoke or take drugs. Green had to do with the kidney, bladder, liver. We were curious to see what color ours would be. So we paid for the test.
This was Rita's water, just starting to bubble up. They put a pad under our feet and poured some kind of chemicals in to draw out the toxins.
The water in my pan, after about 15 minutes. It looks terrible, but it must have drawn some toxins out of my body, as I sure felt good for a few days and my joints in my knees felt great.
We came across an hypnoses guy and he called people to come up, ten came up but he sent five back into the audience, after the first attempt to see who he was able to work with.
The two guys on the left, at the end the hypnotist told them every time they heard a certain song, they would run slow motion and hug one another. Three time they did it, it was so funny. The blond girl on the end was most active person and she was so intense and funny. The show went on for about 15 minutes and we were laughing so hard.
I got Rita's picture "Crowing about the State Fair."
Rita had to get even with me and took my picture dancing like a pig.
It was getting close to sunset, so we decided to go have a ride on the Farris wheel to see how large the Fair area covered. Here is Rita enjoying the cool breeze.
Letha, sitting on top of the world, I mean Farris Wheel.
This is the view of the fair and the city of down town Salt Lake. As the sun set we went over to the big stadium to hear the "Wise Guys" comedy acts. We didn't get home til about 9:pm. We were two tired gals.
