December 12 2009 First good snow storm & start of Christmas month.

I'm a bit behind in my blog, but I will catch up.
Julia and her friend put my Christmas lights out on my front porch one evening before they left for a Single's activity. I'm getting ready for Christmas
















I put up this little tree this year, it's as big as I can handle alone. Does it look like Christmas?















Our first good size snow storm. Now were really ready for Christmas to come.















s This beautiful tree is the only green thing you see around here. I love it when it snows. I just stay in my house and watch it snow and keep warm.
















I love seeing the snow in the bare trees. This one is behind my house.















Denise and Don and boys came down for a Sunday dinner after church. Robert and Matthew after saying hello, got out into the yard and began to roll up the soft snow into snow men. They were having a good time. Julia came home from her church meeting and joined them.















I went out and took their picture having so much fun.
















This a little tree on the corner of my house, I decorated up to give my house some more color out side to look like Christmas.
















They stopped their fun long enough to come in and have some dinner, here is Robert and Denise.

After dinner back out they went to build some more snow men. Matthew got through with this tall guizer and was crowing about it. Then he knocked it down.
















This is what they finally left up when they got through. They lasted for several day.
















Robert helped Matthew build his snowman up again.
















They were ready to go home so snaped their picture. It was fun to have them come down for a visit. That's what's nice about living up here, there are so many of my loved ones to visit and be visited by them.

I took this picture of the sun set one evening. We get quite a few beautiful sun sets. I love them.

November 27, 2009 Christmas Parade in Spanish Fork

Before going to the parade in Spanish Fork, we stopped to go to a go to a Craft show there in Spanish Fork. I bought a scarf and hat and knew that I would never wear the hat and gave it to Janette, she looks so cute in it.















It was a cold night as we bundled up to watch the "Christmas Light Parade" in Spanish Fork. We all brought folding chairs to sit on. Lex sat on my lap in the beginning to stay warm.















People came and sat on the side walk as the parade began. I am showing you a few of the floats, it lasted for about 35 min or so.













Jacqui came with Ethan, Alan stayed home with the two girls, she was to the right of me and I snaped this picture of them.




















Rita was on the left of me, she looks pretty cute in her crocheted hat, she is ready for the parade and nice and warm.

Kathryn, with Kimber on her lap, she braved it with all her little ones, Jared was at his parents watching a BYU football game.

NOV 27 2009 THANKSGIVING GUESTS

Christian and Sarah came, she had little Joanna dressed in Thanksgiving holiday bib,
saying I'm thankful for grandma. It really set the holiday spirit.





















Rita arrived ahead of Derek and Jeff. I ask her to carve up the turkey.















Everyone brought a dish to add to the dinner. Here is Cassey and Kaitlyn, Eric, Chris, we served buffet style.

Rachel, Eric, Kaitlyn had a table of their own, Jacob is down for a nap at this time, but Cassy went and got him to join the rest of us.

Looks like Rita and Derek have enjoyed their meal and are relaxing, we had a little round of telling what we were thankful for.












Jacob and Eric gang up on Christian, he has been use to a delicate baby girl, and doesn't look like he knows what to do with these two boys.

The game is getting exciting, even Jacob is watching for the touch down.
A wonderful day was had by all.

November 27 2009 Thanksgiving day

I got my turkey at Harmons and began to get it ready to put in the oven. It looked nice and plumb and juicy.
















Jacob and Kaitlyn were up early,so I gave them some hot chocolate to drink, they watched the procedure of getting that bird into the oven.














Eric and Rachel being older didn't get up as early and waiting for breakfast got busy working on a project there in the kitchen.














They all got bored with what was going on in the kitchen and went out side. Next door is this vacant lot, and they store rocks and other stuff to work with, even the tractor. They had fun out there for awhile. They never tried to get up on this tractor. I was keeping my eye on them.














They all finally came in and Rachel wanted to help me, so I gave her this celery to be filled with cream cheese. Jacob was trying to help.















Rachel was still wanting to help, so I got her busy setting the table. She was trying to make it look pretty.














Eric came and wanted a job too, so I got him started on peeling some potatoes.




















Rachel got her job done and came to help Eric peel
potatoes too. Some peeling fell on the floor, but what the heck, they are helping me.















Well the turkey is done, so our guest will be soon arriving.
