Sept 25 2009 Continue on to Heber.

After our trip into South park to view the fall leaves, we take off for Heber to go to Granny's to get one of her famous milk shakes.

Rita knew what she wanted and was first in line, here she is with her milk shake.

I got got a chocolate banana nut, that's what we came up for, so thick you have to eat them with a spoon.

Julia came out with her milk shake, only she was smart she got some chicken nuggets to go with it.

We move out side of Grandma ice cream place to enjoy drinking it in the warm sun, it was so good.

As you turn west at a part in Heber, you see this beautiful stature of the pioneer cowboy on his horse, he and his horse stand there free as the wind.

I couldn't help go over and try my hand at trying to get up on this train, took me back to that day my girl friend Jean and I road a rail road train to Bowie, Arizona as fourteen year old girls, it was quite an experience.

The view of one of the modern trains.

The engine one of the older kind of engine. Rita and Julia standing in front of it.>

Here I am deciding to go into the tourist shop to see what they had in there, it was also where you bought your ticket to ride the train.

Inside the Heber Creeper tourist shop.

A little group of stores west of Heber close to the rail road for tourist.

Tourist Attraction store, close by the Heber Creeper. A little bunch of stores right west of Heber, a tourist attraction.

West of Heber up in the hills there is a community, I have forgotten what it is called, but the emigrants from Sweden settled it. Every year in the spring they have a festival honoring their culture, people come from all over for it.

We drove passed this beautiful built barn, don't know exactly what activities they have in it. But its beautiful

Woren out from the days activities.

Sept 25 2009 - Five days later when Rita, Julia and I went back up to Vivian Park This the beautiufl Fall trees in all their glory.

This Friday morning Rita, Julia, and I set out to drive up through South Park to see the how the trees had turn red in the five days since we had been there. Our first stop was at this park.

The trees above the park, are so beautiful.

The beautiful creek in the South Park, merrily running along through the valley.

We stopped at this park called South Park, caught Julia among the trees &
photographed her.

I was taking a picture out of the car window and my reflection mirror
caught this picture of me.

The beauty of the fall trees above this farm area.

We stopped at this area where the creek runs through this farm house area.

Julia and I taking some pictures by this old farm down the creek area

A family owns an little farm down through here. Looks like they grow a big garden.

A Creek runs down through here. The yellow and red trees show up so beautiful.

A creek running up through the valley there in South Park. The whole side of the hill red with color.

Next week the trees will prabably be all red, what a beautiful site.

This is almost as beautiful as when Loren and I saw in Vermont, the year we traveled through there during the fall season.

This area was just too beautiful for words.

The scene nearly to the end of the road, there is a girls camp that goes up futher, there is a closed gate there and we can go no futher. So we turned off into a little dirt road, that went west.

Rita and Julia took off on this road to see if they could find some pretty trees up this road.

We had to stop and take our pictures at the beginning of this road. Julia and Rita.

Yes they found some of the most beautiful areas for picture shoots, Julia & I also pose for a picture.

I found this beautiful little place to have a picture taken.

Rita and Julia half up the road into the beautiful fall leaves. I yelled to them to turn around to let me take their picture.

I came across this beautiful area, I climbed down off the road to photgraph the leaves and Rita snaped this picture of me.

Going up this road, was just too beautiful, I had Julia turn around and snaped this picture of her.

I got a picture of Rita with this back drop of colorful leaves.

Here I am trying to get a good shot through the trees.

The picture I was photographing. The colors were so beautiful it hurt your eyes.

Rita took this of me coming down out of the country road where we found so much beauty. I had my hands full of fall leaves, and the sign there gives a message. We went from there for a ride up to Heber, my next Blog will be that.

September 20 2009 - The trip up to the mountains to see the start of the turning of the fall leaves.

After Church on September 20, I ask Julia to go with me up in the mountains to see the start of the fall colors of the trees turning into their beautiful colors, so we started out and drove up to Squaw Peak and this is what we saw. Well first we went up to where we look over Provo to the Lake.

Looking down on the Provo lake and Orem.

As we started up the other road to the other part of the mountain you can see the starting of the trees turning red, but next week it will probably be all turned red.

I loved the blue sky with the white clouds, and the green of the mountains with the faint showing of red trees, but the beautiful reds one at the bottom.

I found this beautiful bunch of leaves along the side of the road, there were so many cars and motorcycles going up the roads it was hard to find a place to stop and take a picture.

The yellow beside the red trees are just beautiful, with the sun getting low in the horizon,we can't see as many of the colors on the west side.

I stopped by the side of the road and took this picture of the sun filtering through the trees.

We stopped by the side of the road to get this beautiful shot of red trees, with the long yellow grass.

We also saw this old wood fence with the beautiful long yellow grass in the back ground and took Julia's picture.

I finally found a tree at the side of the road to take Julia picture in front of it.

This was so beautiful,we went to the almost of the road, until we thought we had better turn around and go back. As beautiful as it was we didn't want to get stuck there and have to walk home. We decided to go make a trip up to Vivian Park to see the trees there on Friday as Julia had the day off, I will post that trip next.
