Reception Time!

We wrote a message of congratulation on cards and put them in these old looking suitcases. It was a rather unique way of signing in at a reception.












The room was decorated in a homey atmosphere with couches and chairs around the edge and little lights above with luminous splendor.















They decided to have cupcakes for dessert and they used them for their table decorations with poloroid pictures taken earlier in the day at the Temple. What a clever idea!

They had a little program, which included Carah's girlfriends singing a special song. It was a funny song.










The cake was wheeled out to be cut and lo and behold the bride pulled out a baseball bat and gave it a good whack and the candy flew and children scrambled.







That is the first wedding pinata I have ever seen.

Then Aaron and Carah along with some friends treated us to choreographed dance, which was really quite good.

Aaron and Carah get Married!

One of the main reason I came to Utah was to see my Grandson get married. He found a beautiful young lady by the name of Carah and took her to the Temple to be sealed together for Time and All Eternity. It was a cold day and we were anxiously awaiting their appearance.

Here I am with my Grandaughter Amy and her daughters Gabby, and Lauren and my Daughter-in-Law (Aaron's Mom) Jeanne. You can tell we were a bit chilly.
From left to right is Rita, Jeanne, Anadine, Brad, Lisa, Derek, and Dan. These are parents, sisters, aunts and uncles and cousins waiting for them to appear.

Brad and Jeanne were so happy to see the happy couple.

My Trip to Utah

I got to go to Utah to see my Grandson Aaron get married and to see a baby blessing and to have Christmas with my Daughter. When I got there it had snowed and everything was beautiful and the trees were full of snow. I just couldn't resist having my picture taken with the beautiful trees with the snow in them. Of course I had to have my beautiful daughter get her picture taken also. Aren't we the pair! As we drove up to her house I took this picture and you could see all the snow in her yard. Later as it got dark we drove around looking at houses and got to see some beautiful homes that were decorated for Christmas. I was amazed at some of the houses that decorated all their trees. It was so beautiful with the snow as a backdrop. Sometimes the lights were under the snow and just luminated the snow. We had fun taking pictures. Of course we took pictures of ourselves too.

Marcia and I attended a session in the Temple,
before the Performance started. Every night
during the whole month of December wards
and Stakes perform nightly out side the temple.

The Turkey Day in San Diego

Marcia put on the turkey at 7 am this morning, it's noon and ready to eat! Where is every one?

Randie came over with Christian and Sarah. They came down from Utah, Dixie got sick, so they had to help Randie cook dinner. They came with pumpkin pie to visit with us.















Randie got to open a birthday gift from me, since he didn't get one on his birthday. Sarah & Marcia visiting.















After watching videos, the kids were ready for pumpkin pie. Marcia is just about to cut the pies They were sure good. Caitlyn Eric and Nathan are some of my Great-Grandchildren.
