April 6, 2010 - My 83 rd birthday, and a fun day.

The night before my birthday I came home and found am envelop on my door step with a birthday card and a certificate for a box of See's candy. I thought that was sure thoughtful of Dan and Alicia. The morning of my birthday, I can't believe I'm 83, I don't feel that old, I guess I still have a young mind. Julia had her friend Jamie come over and she cooked breakfast, she made cinnamon bread into french toast to help me celebrate my birthday. Later on Kathryn came with her little children and each one had made a birthday card for me. Janette made a huge one. They stayed until Rita came over to get me. We were on our way up to Salt Lake airport to pick up Marcia, she was coming for a visit. Randie had these flowers delived to me.

After we picked up Marcia up at the airport, it was lunch time we decided to have a little bit of lunch, after a salad we indulged with dessert. Mine was the chocolate, was it ever good.

We drove over to visit Bradley and Jeanne they had just got home from taking her mother to a nursing home, they had to bring all her stuff home from the Assisted Living place.

Bradley wanted me to open his birthday gift to me. Here is the card, Inside was a Beethoven tune. He wrote "Do you remember me practicing this song over and over." He and Marcia were my best piano players, they didn't mind practicing.

Here is the gift he gave me. I like frogs so he thought he would give me a funny one. It gave me a big laught.

Bradley has always had a funny side of him. He likes to make people laught, especialy his children when they were crying when little, he would do something to make them laugh to forget about crying. Now he does it with his grandchildren.

Jeanne teaches school, I guess at this time of the month she was off for Easter break.

After visiting them we went down to Gardners Village to look and shop around. I love this big Water Wheel.

I saw this sign on one of the shops and it made a nice back ground for this picture of Rita and Marcia. I should have grabed someone to take the pictue and get in it with them.

We stayed there at Gardner's Village, until evening, and Brad and Jeanne, Denise and Don, Rita, Derek wasn't able to come up. Julia came up. We celebraded my birthday and Marcia, as her's is on the 11th. We pretty much had the place to our selfs, as there wasn't much business that night. We had a great time. In this picture Marcia and I are opening gifts.

This card is from Denise, and it said "The appraisal's been done.. You'r Priceless!"

Here is Don and Denise they gave me some wonder lotion and other stuff.

Julia drove all the way up from Orem to be with us. Boy they look alike here.

Bradley and Jeanne. They contributed with stories of them growing up and stories about me, as did the others.

Marcia and I eating our free birthday cake, we sent it around so everyone could have some of it. By then we are all to full. "Life is a superb gift from God, treasure it! Make the most of every day and every opportunity." It was a wonderful birthday. In the days that followed I got cards and stuff from other family members. Rita took me out and helped me buy another camera, paying for some of it as her gift.

Here we are all together, Matthew on the end, Robert was gone somewhere so he came. He didn't want to be alone.
