Visit to Utah with daughter Marcia

Julia found out there was a teachers conference at BYU and called her Mom about it, so Marcia ask me if I would ride up with her. I decided it would be a nice break from packing boxes. Besides it was about time for the final inspection walk through for my new home. So she got off a few days early from her last class days for the school year. We started out at 3:30 in the morning on Wednesday June 10. We were in Los Vegas by 8 am that morning and got up to Orem by 3 p.m that afternoon. Nice trip. The picture is of Julia, with the Birthday letter I brought to her.




















Rita and Derek were out of town for a little vacation, flying to Portland,Oregon and renting a car and driving down the coast of Oregon. They were going to be gone for about a week. So I was staying there at their home and Marcia was staying with Julia. So Kathryn came to go with me to pick out floor covering for my family room, leaving her children with their grandma Smith. I have a fun day with her.





















Kathryn and I went to serveral places looking at carpet and floor covering. Here we are in Home Depot, they have good selection and prices.

Here Kathryn is, we stopped by the model home to check on some of the masurements of the room sewing room I'm going to make out of one of the rooms down there.
















After looking for carpet and linolum floor covering for my family room down stairs we went to Jared's mother home to get the kids, she let them stay there while we were out. She had fed them lunch, so they weren't hungry so we got them a milk shake
to share. They were more interested in going into the play room.
















Lex likes me, he is my buddy, he always comes up to me with a smile, he melts my heart.

Kathryn and I waited for the kids to have fun on all the play station in the fast food place, Kimber would have like to join them but she was interested in eating ice out of her paper cup. But here she is ready to use the telephone, boy these kids start young now days.
















Kathryn had to go to Costco for some supplies before heading back home and ask me if I wanted to go with her. I said Why not I don't have anything better to do. So here we are Kathryn with a food cart and kids all around her.

We had fun sampling everything in Costco. Kathryn says most the time Jared says they don't have time, so the kids don't get to do that, so it was a treat.
