Easter Sunday back in 1948, we really dressed up.

Back in 1948, everyone wore a hat on Easter. I went shopping and found this cute hat and this suit. A belt came around the middle, and the back hung in a flare. It was really stylist. In fact I still have that suit it is a light lime green, I could never bare to part with it. A remembrance of that period of time. We just had a little box camera, so that's the best pictures we could get. No flash, you had to go out into the sunshine. We lived down town San Diego and had to catch the street car to Hillcrest to church. We had no car yet, not until Bradley was born.





















I learned to crochet. Loren's mother taught me how after I got married. I'm holding Randie up to show off the cute jacket and hat I made him for Easter. Doesn't he look cute. It's too bad our babies have to grow up so quick.
